Kanye West’s Graduation Album
Kanye West, a rapper and hip hop artist, who rose to fame in the mid 2000âs, recently came out with his third album called âGraduationâ in September of 2007. Released to favorable reviews, this new album was based on a college theme after his previous two albums âThe College Dropoutâ and âLate Registration.â âGraduationâ quickly topped the album charts and garnered more than $957,000in sales in the first week alone. In October, exactly one month to the date that it was released, it was certified double Platinum.
The reception from the fans was very positive. Often said that it was an album that you first liked and then loved, the singles are growing everyday on the charts. This album shows how Kanye West has grown as not only a musician but as a writer. Itâs a bit more relaxed then his previous albums, but no less of an amazing musical performance by one of the leading men in hip hop.
The big stand out song on the âGraduationâ album is âBig Brother.â This is a song where Kanye West gave tribute to his mentor Jay-Z which he often credits with his success. His admiration is obvious in this humble song about his life. The songs âBarry Bondsâ and âI Wonderâ are also some of the most well received songs on the album.
Another highlight of âGraduationâ is the star power that collaborated with Kanye West. The artists read like a whoâs who of music. With such stars like Mos Def, Dwele, T-Pain, Lilâ Wayne, and Chris Martin of Coldplay it is hard not to love this album and every song on it. The best thing about this Kanye West is that you can almost hear Kanye enjoying every second of this album. are available for all of kanye west’s albums. There is a ton of phones. He stayed true to himself and once again put out an album that you can listen to and take pleasure in.
